Set of 39 coins of the series "presidents of the United States"
Program one-dollar presidential coin series coins USA a face value of one dollar with the portraits of all deceased U.S. presidents on the obverse. The law on the issue of one-dollar coins with the new design was approved by Congress and signed by President John F. Kennedy. Bush on 22 December 2005.
The program was launched on 1 January 2007. Annually once in three months, the programme produced one coin, the program ends in the summer of 2016, the last (fortieth) coin dedicated to Ronald Reagan. On the obverse of each coin depicts a portrait of one of the US presidents in chronological order the performance of their official duties. Missed Carter, who was alive at the time of completion of the program. The U.S. mint has called this action "Program coins presidential dollars" (eng. Presidential $1 Coin Program).
On the reverse of the coins features the image of the statue of Liberty, the denomination "$1" and the inscription along the rim — "United States of America". This series of American coins — the first, on which is written the word "Liberty" since it was placed on U.S. coins since the statue itself is a symbol of freedom.
