Donatello (ital. Donatello full name Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi (ital. Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi); CA. 1386 — December 13, 1466, Florence) Italian sculptor of the Renaissance, the founder of the individualized portrait sculpture.
Donatello adhered to realistic principles, sometimes it seems that he deliberately sought out the ugly side of nature.
