Obverse: President Kenneth David Kaunda. White-screamer (Haliaeetus vocifer) is the national bird of Zambia. Flowers. The Coat Of Arms Of Zambia.
Kenneth David Kaunda (born. Kenneth David Kaunda; 28 April 1924, Chinsali, Northern Rhodesia) was the first Prime Minister and the President of Zambia, ruled from 1964 to 1991.
White-screamer (lat. Haliaeetus vocifer) African bird of prey of the hawk family (Accipitridae). Eagle screamers medium-sized representatives of their kind, the length ranges from 63 to 57 cm, wingspan — from 175 to 210 cm, the Females somewhat larger than males, which weigh 2 to 2.5 kg, while females weigh from 3.2 to 3.6 kg. White-shouters distributed in Africa South of the Sahara to altitudes up to 1000 m above sea level. Prefer proximity to water.
Downside: the Kariba hydroelectric plant — reservoir, formed in 1959 after the construction of the dam of the Set of hydropower plants on the Zambezi river. This is one of the largest artificial lakes in the world with a surface area of 5580 km2. The Kariba hydropower plant provides electricity to much of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Downstream is located the biosphere reserve of the Middle-Zambezi national Park and Mana Pools.
