The Amazon Dolphin, or white river Dolphin, or iniya, or Amazon river Dolphin (lat. Inia geoffrensis) is an aquatic mammal of the suborder of toothed whales, a representative group of river dolphins. The species name was given in honour of French zoologist étienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire (1772-1844).
