XX international youth day in Cologne.
International youth day (eng. World Youth Day, it. Giornata mondiale della gioventu) is an international celebration organized by the Catholic Church for young people all over the planet. It was established in 1986 by Pope John Paul II.
Obverse: On an internal drive — the Cologne Cathedral with comet over it. Along the edge of the disk provided the topic of the coin: "XX GIORNATA MONDIALE DELLA GIOVENTU". The sides of — marks of the artist ("LONGO") and the engraver ("E. L. F. INC.").
In the lower part of the outer ring include the name of the issuing state "CITTA DEL VATICANO". At the top is located 12 stars divided equally to the designation of the mint (letter "R") and the year of issue coins "2005".
Reverse: Map of Europe located on the right side. On the background of the map shows six vertical lines. At the ends of these lines are 12 stars. To the left of the card has a numerical value. On the card is a horizontal inscription "EURO".
