The 200th anniversary of the birth of K. P. Bryullov, a Russian artist, painter, muralist, watercolorist, a representative of academic art. Son of academician of ornamental sculpture P. I. Brullo.
Obverse: at the Top along the rim, the denomination "TWO rubles", at the bottom left of the chemical name "Ag" and the hallmark "925" metal, below the year of issue "1999", bottom right of the net weight in the coin of precious metal "of 15.55" and the monogram of the mint "SPMD". In the middle in the rim of the points of the double-headed eagle under it on the inner side of the point of the rim the words "BANK of RUSSIA".
Reverse: the Image of the painting by K. P. Briullov, bottom right her name in three lines: "LAST days of POMPEII", on the left, inscription and date in four lines:"KARL BRIULLOV", "1799" "1852", in the bottom half — oval self-portrait of the artist.
