Description
The 150th anniversary of the birth of I. P. Pavlov — Russian scientist, the first Russian Nobel laureate, physiologist, Creator of the science of higher nervous activity, physiological school; Nobel laureate in medicine and physiology in 1904
Obverse: at the Top along the rim, the denomination "TWO rubles", at the bottom left of the chemical name "Ag" and the hallmark "925" metal, below the year of issue "1999", bottom right of the net weight in the coin of precious metal "of 15.55" and the monogram of the mint of the MMD. In the middle in the rim of the points of the double-headed eagle under it on the inner side of the point of the rim the words "BANK of RUSSIA".
Reverse: the Portrait of I. P. Pavlov, on the left — the picture of the dog on the right on the stack of books — academic cap and gown, at the bottom — the snake wrapped around the bowl. At the top of the circle the inscription: "I. P. PAVLOV 1849 1936".
