The 25th anniversary of the bridge 25 Abril
25th of April bridge (port. Ponte 25 de Abril) is a suspension bridge that connects Lisbon to the North (right) and Almada on the South (left) Bank of the river Tagus.
The bridge crosses the confluence of the Tagus in the Atlantic ocean. It was opened on 6 August 1966. Until 1974 the bridge was named after antónio Salazar (port. Ponte Salazar), but was renamed after the carnation Revolution. The bridge is included in the top 20 suspension bridges in the world by length.
Obverse: In the center — the image of the bridge of 25 of April. The top semi-circle the name of the country of the Issuer - PORTUGAL. Down in several rows (visually under the bridge) the name of the bridge in Portuguese and dates 1966 - 2016. In a circle the outer ring is located 12 stars of the European Union.
Reverse: Map of Europe located on the right side. On the background of the map shows six vertical lines. At the ends of these lines are 12 stars. To the left of the card has a numerical value. On the card is a horizontal inscription "EURO"
