The tuatara, tuatara, or (lat. Sphenodon punctatus) is a species of reptiles, the only modern representative of the ancient squad cluboholic.
Inhabits a few small Islands of New Zealand. The body length is 76 cm, Weight body up to 1.3 kg. the Average life expectancy is 60 years. Some experts believe that the tuatara can live for about 200 years. They reach reproductive maturity at age 15-20 years. Leads predominantly nocturnal. Appearance and lifestyle resembles a large iguana.
