"Venus" is a series of Soviet automatic interplanetary stations (AMS) to study the planet Venus and outer space. The harsh conditions on Venus, as well as the initial lack of reliable information on such parameters as temperature and pressure, greatly complicated the research process of the planet. Landers first series even had a reserve of buoyancy. The first flights took them badly — it was the first in the history of mankind interplanetary flights. In the future the Soviet Union managed to achieve so much success in the study of Venus with the help of AMS, it was called "Russian planet"
