Front side:John Chilembwe (1871 — February 3, 1915) was One of the founders of the national liberation movement in Nyasaland (now Malawi), having graduated from the American theological College and became a priest, founded in 1900 baptismal mission in Nyasaland. Was opposed to colonial backwardness, racism, the liberation and the acquisition of independence from Britain. In 1915 acted as the organizer of the uprising for independence that has not received sufficient public support, was suppressed, and John Chilembwe was shot by police.
