Vidzeme (the Latvian. In Vidzeme) — a historical region in Central Latvia, West of the river Aiviekste (until 1629 to the North of the Daugava).
From the XIII century in Livonia from 1561 — previous TRANS-Daugava Duchy. In 1629 Livonia was divided: Vidzeme became part of the Swedish province of Livonia, at the time, as Latgale was annexed by Poland. In 1710-1917 years the region was part of the province of Livonia of the Russian Empire.
Obverse: coat of arms of Vidzeme, the name of the state, year of issue edge — 12 stars.
Reverse: Map of Europe located on the right side. On the background of the map shows six vertical lines. At the ends of these lines are 12 stars. To the left of the card has a numerical value. On the card is a horizontal inscription "EURO"
