Description
Juan Montalvo - Ecuadorian writer and journalist. Since 1869 he headed the liberal opposition to Ecuador, he lived in exile in Colombia and France. In his works criticized the despotism and corruption, the military dictatorship, the crimes of the Church and the ruling classes of Latin America. One of the first in Ecuador spoke in defense of the Indians.
