Georgi Mikhailovich Dimitrov — leader of the Bulgarian and the international Communist movement. It was called "Bulgarian Lenin" and leader of the Bulgarian people, after death, in the era of socialism in Bulgaria, it was built the mausoleum in Sofia like Lenin.

Georgi Mikhailovich Dimitrov or Dimitrov Georgi Mikhailov (Bulgarian. Dimitrov Georgi Mikhailov; June 18, 1882, kovachevtsi village, now the Pernik region, Bulgaria — July 2, 1949, in Barvikha, near Moscow) — leader of Bulgarian and international Communist movement. Dimitrov called "Bulgarian Lenin" and leader of the Bulgarian people. After his death, he was built the mausoleum in Sofia like Lenin. In 1944, a new era has begun for the Bulgarian heraldry — Communist era. The traditional coat of arms was replaced by the emblem. The Golden lion has been retained but placed on not justified historically oval blue field, surrounded by wheat ears tied with a ribbon with the date of establishment of the Republic; at the bottom of the gear and at the top of the star. This emblem comes from the coat of arms of the USSR. After the collapse of the socialist government in 1989 and several years of disputes, the emblem 1927-1946 years were returned with minor changes.
